The lawyers are watching the trolls

Word reaches us that the fearsome City solicitor Ian Rosenblatt is sending a colleague along to the QEII conference hall in Westminster to observe proceedings at tomorrow's (30 April) UK Investor Show, an annual gathering of financial trolls and their followers and collaborators.
The lawyer has been instructed to monitor every word spoken by top troll Tom Winnifrith and his co-conspirators Simon Cawkwell (Evil Knievel), Lucien Miers and Matthew Earl, among others. Rosenblatt's client, the wealth manager WH Ireland, is so concerned at the threat of a troll attack that it has had Rosenblatt warn Share Prophets - the trolls' primary vehicle - that any defamation will be swiftly followed by legal action.
While Winnifrith is on the podium, delegates might like to ask him the following questions:
- Does he get paid by professional short sellers to trash the reputations and share prices of companies?
- Was he fired as CEO of Rivington Street Holdings because of a fraud?
- Was there a fraud?
- Did chairman Jim Mellon know about it?
An investigation by auditors KPMG found that:
- There were three potential areas for a fraudulent transaction.
- The initial investment proposal was a fraud on the EIS fund.
- the proceeds of the investment were fraudulently expended by Commercial Tyre Solutions Limited or it's a officers or employees.
- That residual assets were fraudulently disposed of before the appointment of the administrators.
Shortly after KPMG unveiled its findings to the board, Winnifrith was sacked and the company quietly wound up.
